A good day for the Sharks with 2 of the 3 teams winning through to grand finals. The day began with the u11s in red hot form despite heavy rain for most of the game, running out winners 26-6. Owen Flaherty scoring 3 tries, henry parker the other one and Liam Davies kicking 3 conversion in the tricky conditions. Over at the Seniors the u19s had another tight match against Gosford and survived a last minute scare to get a 12-5 win. Tries to Blake Jacob & Jake Bradbury, with Mitch Jacob landing a conversion. Final game for the Sharks was the u15s, our most improved team this season. The wet weather didn’t suit their attacking style of play, but did suit Ourimbah’s strong forward pack who scored all of their 6 tries. Will Hardy scored our try in the 5-38 loss.
After yesterdays games we now have three teams in grand finals over the next two Saturdays. Morning games for all, and we hope all our supporters will get to the grounds to cheer on the boys.
It will be an early start on the 13th with the u11s kicking off the day at Bluetongue Stadium at 8am – taking on minor premiers Terrigal Red. Following them at 9:30 will be the minor premier u12s playing Terrigal. Presentations for those games are out the back of the Stadium, while on the field at the completion of the u12s our u10s will receive their medals for winning their ‘first past the post’ competition. The future is strong at the Sharks!
On the 20th at Woy Woy Oval, our minor premier u19s will be playing the winner of Gosford & Terrigal at 10am.
